YouTube app gets a major redesign

After months of testing with randomly selected iOS users, YouTube’s new design is now being pushed to all users. The new update brings the overall design and look in line with its Android counterpart. More after the jump

YouTube says..
The redesigned YouTube app makes it easier to find what you love. Now your recommended videos, favorite channels, and subscriptions can be accessed by tapping each icon or swiping your screen. You can also create fun videos on the fly with new in-app editing tools.

The new app is divided into three sections: Home, Subscriptions and Account. As usual, Home displays suggested and featured videos based on what a user has viewed recently.

The Subscriptions section shows recent videos from your subscribed channels. You can also see a complete list of uploaded videos from a subscribed channel by selecting the desired icon under the Subscriptions tab, you can scroll through your list of subscriptions by swiping left/right.

Your Account shows your video History, Likes, Playlists and your Watch Later list.
This update is not only a major design update, it also brings with it in-app video editing tools, which we’re sure that vloggers will likely appreciate.
What do you think of the new design?
