[WWDC ’15 Summary] iOS 9 – Maps

Admittedly Apple Maps got off to a shakey start, but at the WWDC 2015 yesterday, Apple reported that Apple Maps is by far the most used mapping application on iOS, in fact, it says its 3.5x higher than the next leading mapping app. Now in iOS 9, we’ll see the much awaited transit directions. More after the jump.

Apple introduces Transit in Maps, Transit view will include directions for public transport like buses, trains, subways and ferries. Upon launch Transit will support some of the world’s most travelled cities and will continue to add more in the future. With Maps you’ll be able to find nearby restaurants, bars, shops and activities, you’ll even be able to see which locations support Apple Pay.
