Twitters Stars and Favorites are now Hearts and Likes

Yesterday, Twitter announced that they’re going to change their Favorites (seen as Stars), into Hearts, which are now ‘Likes’. If you’re quite a bit of a tweeter, you might have already noticed this change.

“We’re changing our star icon for favorites to a heart and we’ll be calling them likes” says Twitter. Hearts will be coming to Twitter and Vine, while they’re already a big part of Periscope.

You can say a lot with a heart. Introducing a new way to show how you feel on Twitter:

“The heart is more expressive, enabling you to convey a range of emotions and easily connect with people,” explains Twitter. “And in our tests we found that people loved it”

Not everyone is welcoming this change, as Twitterers vent their frustrations online
