How To Upgrade To iOS 7 Beta 2

In case you haven’t been online in the last 30 minutes, or have been living under a rock, the rumors were right and iOS 7 Beta 2 was released today.

As has been the case, the update to iOS 7 to iOS 7 beta 2, was an OTA (over the air) update. Weighing in at 237megs, this update to iOS 7 should bring new functionality and big fixes galore!

If you are running iOS 7 already it’s very easy to update.

Follow the easy steps below and let’s get you updated.

Hit up your Settings app and navigate to General.

Once there, tap Software Update. Your iPhone or iPod will automatically find the latest version Apple has pushed out to developers.

iOS 7 will let you know that iOS 7 beta 2 is available and ask you if you want to download it.

As we are now used to, the gears within the below settings icon spin. While not needed, it’s a pretty cool feature to let us know something is working!

Depending on your network connection, Apple’s servers and a few other things, the upgrade will take around 10 minutes to get you up to the latest and greatest version.

Once the download is done and prepared, it will give you the option to hit “install now”.

Say yes! Be patient.

Yes it saves your settings and apps!

It’s that simple. I know it’s early but have you updated yet?

I’m going to be doing the same thing. Should have iOS 7 beta 2 downloaded just before I have to leave for work. Thanks for the heads up on it being released.

        1. No worries, let me know what you think about it. Have heard that Google+ no longer crashes either!

Google+ was the first thing I tried. It worked the first time. Now it just crashes on start each time. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Worked the first time but not since then.
