Home Sharing could be coming back in iOS 9

As some of you may have noticed, Apple quietly removed Home Sharing for music in iOS 8.4. But a recent tweet by Eddie Cue, the senior vice president of Internet Software & Services, indicates that we may well see it return in the next major iOS update, iOS 9.

Home Sharing basically allows users to share their iTunes media library with up to 5 computers provided they are on the same Wifi network. Currently music Home Sharing is limited to the Apple TV.

One guy tweeted to Eddie Cue, asking to have Home Sharing for music restored, few days later he received a response:

Just remember you can still Home Share videos around the home, that hasn’t changed.

You guys excited to Home Share your music libraries again?
