Google’s iOS app finds a fun use for 3D Touch

Since the introduction of 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s, last September, developers have been steadily updating their apps to make use of the new feature. Google, recently updated its iOS app to bring a fun use to 3D Touch, hard pressing on the app icon will now reveal a new Quick Action tab called “I’m Feeling Curious”, giving you a fun fact each time it’s pressed.

You don’t even have to exit the app to bring up another ‘fun fact’, after tapping “I’m Feeling Curious” from your Homescreen, you’ll get a random question and it’s answer, then below that you’ll see a option that says ‘Ask another question’, clicking that will bring you another ‘fun fact’.

This is a pretty cool use of 3D Touch, while a lot of other apps offer you ‘Search’, ‘Compose’ options, Google’s new Quick Action makes a nice change from the usual.
