EA removes some of its classic games from the App Store

Electronic Arts quietly removed some of its classic iOS games from the App Store earlier this month. We say ‘quietly’ because we only realized a few weeks after it had happened. EA posted a small announcement hidden away under the Help/Support section of their site. These are the games they’ve removed…

Bejeweled 2
Burnout CRASH!
Dead Space
Don’t Fall Off
Flight Control
Flight Control Rocket
Fly With Me
Lemonade Tycoon
Need for Speed Shift
Real Racing
Sims Medievil by EA
Skate It by EA
Spore Creatures
Spore Origins
SPY Mouse

It’s kind of sad to see games like Real Racing to be removed from the App Store, as it truly was a classic, it showed that iOS gaming should be taken seriously. One game I’m glad that hasn’t been removed is Need for Speed Most Wanted, I still play it every now and again on my iPad Mini.
