AVPlayerHD updated to support Split View and Picture-In-Picture

EPLAYWORKS’ popular video player, AVPlayer, recently recieved an update to it’s iPad counterpart (AVPlayerHD), to take advantage of iOS 9’s Split View and Picture-in-Picture feature. Users can now detach videos into a resizable window while doing things like browsing the web or writing an email.

We’ve all came across the issue where our iOS devices wouldn’t play a certain video format, thankfully, the App Store is full of media players that play almost every video format out there. We’ve already separated the best of the best here.

AVPlayerHD is one of the best video players on the App Store, supporting a wide range of video formats, subtitles, gesture controls and more, and to make it even better, it now supports Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Split View on iOS 9. PiP means you can play a video in a small detachable window while doing other things on your device while Split View allows you to run two apps side-by-side simultaneously.

Split View is only supported on the following devices running iOS 9:
– iPad Air 2
– iPad Mini 4
– iPad Pro
