Apple supports refugee crisis aid efforts with exclusive Imagine Dragons single, all proceeds going to charity

To help with the international refugee crisis happening right now, Apple has collaborated with the band, Imagine Dragons to bring us an exclusive charity single called ‘I Was Me‘. Hundred percent of the proceeds of the song sales will go to the UN Refugee Agency to support relief efforts.

SAP will also be donating USD 10 cents for every download of the ‘I Was Me’ charity song, up to the first five million downloads from iTunes. This charity appeal is part of a wider ‘One4Project‘.

This charity single isn’t Apple’s first public charity effort for the refugee crisis cause. Apple is currently taking donations for the Red Cross through iTunes and the App Store. Apple is known to support causes such as this, earlier this year the company took donations to help support the Nepal Earthquake victims. Tim Cook said that Apple is dedicated to improving human rights worldwide.
