Apple Remembers Leonard Nimoy

On the 27th of February 2015, Leonard Nimoy passed away at the age of 83 in Los Angeles. Best known for playing Spock in the cult sci-fi series Star Trek, Apple remembers Leonard Nimoy on iTunes. Star Trek fans can get a large catalogue of movies and TV shows which starred Leonard Nimoy.

It has become a recent tradition with Apple, as they respectfully remember the life and work of actor who have passed. The company has posted a special ‘remembering’ section to iTunes to remember the life and work of Leonard Nimoy.

Under the large image of Leonard Nimoy Apple posts…

“Leonard Nimoy dazzled us and millions of other sci-fi fans with his iconic portrayal of Mr. Spock, the logic-driven, half-Vulcan first officer in Star Trek. While he maintained this genre-defining role throughout nearly 50 years of movies and spinoff series, Nimoy was always a captivating presence – whether he was starring in shows like Mission: Impossible and Fringe or doing voiceovers for movies and games. He was also a talented director (Star Trek III, Star Trek IV, Three Men and a Baby). When he wasn’t acting or behind the camera, Nimoy was a prolific poet and musician; and alongside his wife, Susan, he generously supported other artists with grants from The Nimoy Foundation.”
