Just a few moments ago, Apple wrapped up their “Let Us Loop You In” event, in which they announced a new iPhone model, new Apple Watch bands and a refreshed iPad. We predicted Apple would give us a new iPad Air, instead they gave us something better…a 9.7inch iPad Pro.
The new 9.7inch iPad Pro has a really impressive display, with 25% greater brightness (than the iPad Air 2), wider color gamut, lower reflectivity and the new True Tone technology dynamically adjusts the white balance of the screen. iOS 9.3 introduces Night Shift where your display changes its color temperature depending on the time time of the day, this effectively reduces eye strain when using your device at night.

For some reason people are taking pictures with their iPad, this means Apple have introduced better cameras on the new 9.7inch iPad Pro. Like the iPhone 6s, the new iPad Pro has a 12-megapixel rear camera that can take 63-megapixel panoramas and Live Photos, and to take better low light photos we have a True Tone flash. You’ll also be able to record 4K video. On the front, we have a 5-megapixel FaceTime HD camera. Because of all the camera improvements in the 9.7inch iPad Pro, we’re stuck with a protruding camera.
Introducing the new iPad Pro:
The new iPad Pro also comes equipped with Apple’s most powerful processor to date, the A9X, that’s more powerful than the iPhone 6s. The 9.7inch iPad Pro borrows a lot of features from it’s bigger brother, such as the four-speaker audio system and the Smart Connector for accessories. It also supports an ‘always-on’ Siri (Hey Siri).
Along with the new 9.7inch iPad Pro, Apple announced a new custom-designed Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil for the new device. The new iPad Pro has palm-rejection technology, which makes for a more natural drawing experience.
Pricing & Availability
The 9.7inch iPad Pro will come in three flavors, Silver, Space Gray, Gold and Rose Gold. Prices start at $399 for the 32GB Wi-Fi model and $729 for the Cellular model. The new iPad Pro comes in three storage options, 32GB, 128GB and 256GB.
